The most effective advertisements are the ones that evoke humor and emotion, to make a lasting impression on the consumer. Simple warm scenarios that make you laugh, smile and say “aww” are so much more effective than any kind of informational commercial. This Throwback Thursday, let’s take a look at two noteworthy, feel-good ads:

International Coffee Creamer

In this hilarious and heartwarming commercial from International Coffee Creamer, Wayne Brady reworks the words to “I Say a Little Prayer” by Aretha Franklin, and he serenades his coffee creamer. If you’re not a morning person and you love coffee just as much as I do, I know you’ve done this before in the mornings!

Double Mint Gum

Double Mint’s use of twins spending time together and having fun is one of the most famous, long-lasting campaigns. Fun scenarios and the peppy music give you a warm feeling when you see the commercial and hear the jingle “Double your pleasure, double your fun with Double Mint Gum.”
